The meaning of "Uchi" - The Japanese word may be translated as "Something one belongs to"
Our supportive culture of belonging is created with our time together connecting in the Academy.
Our class curriculum plus our open gym training sessions were designed to foster a supportive culture of growing, learning and teaching together. There are no egos or judgements at the Academy; we are all the same when we step on the mats. We balance our competitive warrior spirit with the therapeutic benefits of the art by trusting in the jiu jitsu journey instead of obsessing over results & outcomes. Advanced students reach down to bring new members and training partners up with them. We learn the art of survival and how the philosophy of martial arts translates to our lives both on and off the mats.
